The BII has developed and provided various
types of training for individuals and companies involved in residential construction. The training has been provided by BII’s contractors as well as by
participating utilities.
Current Training Activity:
Building Energy Codes Training (BECT) program (2006-2008)
Since 1995 this dynamic program has helped the building industry keep up with changes in energy codes. The Building Industry Institute (BII) and their subcontractor, ConSol, began a training program for large production builders in California and Nevada. The program has improved compliance with energy standards by improving builders’ understanding and implementation of the energy codes.
Upcoming Live BECT Training

- Inspect and diagnose homes for code compliance, energy efficiency features and quality construciton techniques
- Feedback for construction departments and subcontractors
