Many building protocols addressing HVAC design and installation to Window Installation and Waste Reduction have been developed and made available to California’s builders, as an aid to designers and builders. The research conducted by BII with its utility, Federal and State partners has analyzed building practice and created a series of tools to aid California builders in creating quality resource efficient homes. The BII, working with State and Federal organizations and California utilities, created a hands on training program to foster, quality energy efficient new homes.       The BII has worked cooperatively with State, Federal and Local organizations as well as California utilities, and local governments to create and adopt new energy efficient, renewable energy opportunities and applications that make California a national leader in creating quality resource efficient new homes.
